The location of Pakistan is in a collision zone among the Eurasian and Indian plate boundaries. geological framework Northwest Himalaya makes Northern susceptible to frequent moderate major earthquakes. devastating earthquake October 8, 2005 caused 87,000 deaths, 2.8 million displacements financial loss 200 Billion USD equivalent 6% GDP Pakistan. Islamabad seismically active region, studies conducted for this region addresses poor soil conditions, non-engineering construction practices high level seismic shaking.
